What happens if it rains?
Barn Elms Sports Centre: Our wet weather program means that for the classes in the morning we have a small room we can utilise to encourage hand-eye coordination and motor skill games. If ahead of time it looks like a complete wash out for the day, I will cancel and offer you a credit and a day to make up the lesson that was lost.
Kings House Sports Ground: At Kings House we have access to a function room that holds 250 standing people. Within that room I would utilise it to play motor skills games with the potential of setting up mini tennis nets and practicing drop shots and variation of spin.
Tots Tennis: We are lucky enough to use indoor halls for Tots Tennis!
Rickmansworth School: We have the potential to use the sports hall if it is raining. However, if it is busy and we cannot use it then we will cancel the session and offer you a credit/refund for that week.
What ball colour am I supposed to book onto?
Please check our Ball Colours and Abilities page to find out what age group your child falls into. On the menu click 'Classes'.
If the coach thinks you would be better within another class then we will move you as soon as possible.
Can we buy uniform from you?
Of course! Beatha's Tennis Community and Tots Tennis t-shirts and caps will be available very soon. Watch out for an email with all of the details.
What if I need to cancel?
You have 7 days before the beginning of the term to cancel to be eligible for a full refund. Unfortunately we don't offer refunds for anything under our cancellation period. For special circumstances, contact me and we can arrange credits for the next term or a partial/full refund.
Do parents need to join in?
Tots Tennis: For the lessons that are for 2 year olds, we suggest parents try to help out as much as possible. It can encourage them to join in and build confidence as well as helping them improve their technique, with the coaches help. For the 3-4 year old lessons they are more independent and can do the lesson on their own!
Do I need to bring any equipment?
Tots Tennis: We provide all rackets for the kids and we have mini nets and tons of balls and equipment. However, we will also be selling mini rackets and accessories like coloured grips and animal dampeners if you would like your child to have their own and to customise it how they want to!
Juniors at all venues: I do have spare rackets for you to use if you forget your own. So don't panic if you have forgotten anything!
All Players: Please remember bottles of water!
